Out of all the posts I made on this blog. My Jerseylicious post have received the most comments. As you can see I no longer review or maintain any kind of interest in the show. Mainly because I HATE it. I loved the first season, everything was so raw and everyone was coming into their own, but of course in reality TV fashion is became all about the ratings and it felt like every episode was the glorification of Tracy essentially handing Olivia her ass on a bronze plate. Not to say that Olivia doesn’t fight back and can’t hold her own (so slow your roll Olivia lovers) but to be honest I lost interest. I am a fashion lover and I happen to believe that New Jersey in my personal opinion leads some great inspiration in terms of fashion ideas, I mean Olivia at times is the definition of color blocking and she does it so well.

But I for one and not a fan of the fighting, bitching, bickering, who ever that Italian Tom Cruise look alike shows his abs every two seconds like he’s the second coming to The Situation, I don’t need it and despise watching it now.

With that said I have personally met, talked and got to know Tracy DiMarco and Alexa Prisco personally and they are hands down in my mind two of THEE nicest girls on the planet. The girls I met are NOT who you see on this television show. Alexa is incredibly smart beyond her years and in some cases to smart for her own good, she is a lovely person and not that crazed lunatic they aired on her last episode of Jerseylicious. Tracy is a beautiful, kind, genuine family loving woman who I could trust with my most personal secrets, but on the other hand yes IF you decide to cross her and end up on her bad side she will be in your grill/ass probably for the rest of your natural life, so that should be code for you to 1.) never cross her, of 2.) never get to know her.

I respect the comments I have been getting and while some of them are mean, nasty and just down right untrue I still allow them to post to the site because its your opinion.

How has the current season been going?

I met Deana Spiotti a little over a year ago when I did a small little (very nerve wrecking interview with Alex Prisco of Jerseylicious) I had spent the entire day with Alexa she was very welcoming of me into her home. She let me sit in on one of her classes and introduced me to the love of her life, at that time, Rue her cute little dog. During my time with Alexa I was able to meet a few friends of hers. One that stood out and to me stole the show was Deana Spiotti. To me Deana was a testament of a go getter. I could tell that she had a certain loyalty to Alexa but I could see determination and fire in her eyes. I could see that she wouldn’t be an assistant forever and that she saw certain things as merely a stepping stone to her ultimate goal in life. Fast forward about 6 months (give or take) and her new company Queen Buzz hit the world. Something she had been working on for a while, but finally it made it to the masses.

Every now and then I like to showcase women on my website that have made something of themselves. They have found a way, in a very difficult world, to set themselves apart, follow their dreams and make a life for themselves by doing EXACTLY what they want. I commend those women and appreciate those women. Its those kind of women we should all look up to and know that from their success and experience it is proven that we can achieve and accomplish anything we put our minds to and are willing to work for. I consider Deana a friend of mine and invite you to enjoy her interview below.

1.) Tell us a little bit about who you are and what you do?

Well, I have to admit…it’s a little different being on the other side of the “field” I usually do all these interviews and now I’m like…oh you want to know about me…really? Haha…Well my name is Deana Spiotti or better known as Queen Buzz. . . I wear many hats and I guess that is just the artsy person in me. I started singing at the age of 16 after finally getting…ready for this…enough courage to do it…yea wasn’t always this courageous Leo that most people see today. I was in the city at least three days/nights a week recording, performing, open mic nights and most intense moment was singing the National Anthem. . . Then I was a teacher for two years, but as much as I loved it, I missed the artsy side of me again. So I took a leap of faith and here I am today….The Queen Buzz. So pretty much on top of writing, videography and photography for the site, I still sing and play as well as opening up a studio, La Tutu this month.

2.) What is Queen Buzz all about?

It’s funny because Queen Buzz was literally just a spot for me to post my video work and just have people know who did the video editing ect. Slowly, but steadily, people started liking the Facebook page and wanting more videos and more information. I remember the first email I did get from a good friend of mine now…Marie from Pink Jewels emailed me (and mind you this is only after a few months of putting together Queen Buzz) she emailed me that her store was buzz worthy and I should def. check it out! I was so touched that somebody actual loved my work and wanted me to check out their store and write about it. After that, more and more opportunities started coming my way for boutiques, mom and pop shops and New York Fashion Week. Here is what Queen Buzz is about. . . it’s a window to a world that most can’t have. I love reading blogs, but I feel like as much as you read and allow the reader to get a taste of what you’re talking about…that’s all they get is a little taste. I wanted them to not only get a taste, but a full experience. So Queen Buzz gives you the video world of blogging. I take you into the stores, behind the scenes at New York Fashion Week or a red carpet experience. I thought to myself, that prior to Queen Buzz, I wouldn’t be able to attend all these fabulous events and meet these great people and I myself would love to at least get to see it all…so that’s Queen Buzz…your window into the world of glitz, glam and all things fabulous!

3.) How have you been able to obtain success with Queen Buzz in such a short amount of time?

That question I wish I knew. For me I just took it step by step. I knew that if I wanted this to work, I needed to be in the game 150%. It really is true…your readers want information on a daily basis or if not what’s the point of reading…it’s like a weekly TV show…they look forward to the next episode…and have that “What happens next” so for me….I researched events, boutiques, restaurants you name it to continually give the readers what they wanted. . . and then in December after 9 months of editing for wee hours in the night…I noticed I had over 20,000 visits to my page. This was my climax and reminder that I was doing something right and here is why I think I am still going strong. I don’t need to stand next to every celebrity and take a picture to say, hey look what I did, I enjoy talking to people who build their business from nothing to now the biggest thing, I take the time to really edit and capture what my readers want to see…I do everything I do for the love of it all…not the fame…not the perks…not some title…because at the end of the night if I have one reader…ONE who appreciates what I do…I already stepped up the ladder.

4.) Tell us a little bit about the reality shows you’ve been on?

Oh fun! Well it all started out with Alexa and having me come on for a little scene for Jerseylicious. I think it was funny because 90% of the time I was more excited to watch them film, because I love the behind the scenes stuff. Then after that, I filmed with Real Housewives of New Jersey as a model for the Posche Fashion Show. That was a trip! A room of over 300 people, backstage practicing runway with Teresa, getting to wear the hottest Sachika dress ever and of course getting a little cameo for the RHONJ was a lot of fun! Then recently, just filmed for another episode of Jerseylicious, which I can’t say a lot about because it will be episode 7 for this season,(make sure you watch!!!) but it’s a full episode with Olivia and the newest cast member Jacquelina.

5.) You started out as the assistant to Alexa Prisco of Jerseylicious how has that helped you in terms of work ethic for your own business?

Meeting Alexa well over 4 years ago was a plus. She was doing my friends bridal makeup and I told her the minute I’m engaged she’s booked. Yup that happened to and after that she had me over her house and we played dress up and photoshoot time often!!! Good times! Alexa is a powerful business woman. She is also very smart when it comes to what she loves to do. I watched and pay attention very carefully at her every move, because to start with a few makeup brushes and a dream, to an entire successful makeup business does say a lot about someone. I remember Alexa for yes of course, her to the minute fantastic comments, but also that to never sell yourself short. If you are doing something you love, your passion, it’s priceless and no one can take that away from you unless you give up. So I ran with it…and honestly I tell and remind Alexa all the time…Queen Buzz would not exist if it wasn’t for her…she gave me the lines, I “auditioned” and now I can stand in my own spotlight!

6.) What are you plans for the future (acting, Queen Buzz etc.)?

Well my psychic said….haha no really I see Queen Buzz continue to grow more and more…I have started working on webisodes with Palermo’s Bakery as well as working with the very successful Maria Cucciniello at The Hip Event on some projects and I am opening up a dance studio La Tutu this month. One thing I do want to fall into again in the future is to get back to my singing, it was something that really made me happy and sure why not my life is full of sitcoms…acting will forever be in my life, if not on the big screen on my Canon HD screen is just fine!

7.) What advice would you give women wanting to start their own business?

Stay true to yourself, don’t change for anyone and don’t forget the “little people”
I just had a conversation with a mother who wants to write a blog about how to go from high end bags and compare to low end. . . I said why didn’t you start already. . . and she said to me that she thought no one would bother to read it…then I told her that’s what I thought….but the end result is you have to do it for the love of it…if you are doing something for fame, for status or a “look at me” type of end result you already failed. . . there is enough room out there for everyone…but no matter what you want to do…you have to not only give it 150% but you have to really love what you do or else you’re wasting your time..which is too precious!

Why am I were I am today? Because I never feared the answer NO! I simply sent emails, called and said, hi can I cover this event…and 9 out of 10 times they said sure…but if you don’t ask/try you will never know!

It’s a risk game. . . so take the risk because life isn’t a dress rehearsal.

I’m so excited to announce this! I have had a Bath & Beauty line for quite some time now. Its mostly just been word of mouth and family and friends, but it has been a hobby of mine (among other things) for a very long time. After some convincing and a lot of REALLY AWESOME feedback I have decided to go full force with the product design and company. This is what the site will look like and I will let you know asap once its open for business. Check my youtube channel for awesome giveaways. I always add a thing or two from my bath line.

I Love Beyonce! I do have to say that I am not much of a fan of her music is, even though the girl can SANG! No question about it. She is very talented, beautiful, classic, sophisticated just an all around awesome person, but her music style isn’t exactly my cup of tea. As far a a person to me she’s fantastic. I love her look, her style and most of all her makeup choices. Beyonce never ceases to amaze me. She always has a natural beauty even when she’s on stage. The Beyonce 2011 VMA Performance makeup was no different. In the video below I give a detailed direction of how you can get her look too. Check it out:

There are a ton of websites like this out there. Just Fab, Jewel Mint and the number one in the running Kim Kardashian partnered Shoe Dazzle. These companies promote stylish fashion choices whether it be shoes, jewelry, handbags and in some cases clothes etc. with a “personal” stylist which isn’t 100% true, but its okay to market the idea that way and all for only $39.95. The truth behind it all is that these companies ask the customer a series of questions and based on these questions their “stylist” (really a computer system) picks styles they think you would like based on your answers. I speak from personal experience I have been a member of Shoe Dazzle since its creation and they have NEVER gotten my style choices right on the first try and even when I request alternates more times than not they still get it wrong. I will say that I have received some really nice stuff from shoe dazzle though.

The other day I canceled my membership with shoe dazzle and signed up with Just Fab and very similar company with the same marketing ploy but with MUCH better fashion options. These are a few of the items I found in my queue:

Paso Doble

Although this hand bag was sold out before I could buy it, this is an item where I would have purchased both colors. Its almost an exact replica of the Hermes Birkin bag which if your like me and do “replica searches” you know is very affordable at only $39.95. This is definitely style.

The Ansley Bootie

In the likes of the Kardashian clan this is a fantastic bootie that you can wear during any time of the year.

The Sleuth

This isn’t a replica of anything, but its just a really pretty summer bag.

JustFab does not focus on replicas, most of the time their styles are originals but it is the only place online (in my opinion) where you can get really good fashions for $39.95. If you’re not already a member go over and signup its free and make sure you mention Tiana sent ya!

Also, If you’re a a first time user you will also get 20% off your first order just for signing up and buying.

There are a couple of key differences between shoe dazzle and justfab. With shoe dazzle you are required to signup with a credit/bank card and if you do not remember to login and skip the month your card is automatically charged a $39.95 fee that they convert into a shoe dazzle credit that you can redeem at anytime on Shoe Dazzle inventory ONLY. I have a major problem with this because if I don’t see anything I like that month I could use the $39.95 to buy something else at a different store rather than being forced to buy a product I might not ever like or get at shoe dazzle. JustFab doesn’t do that. You pay per item so if you get your fashion queue one month and don’t like it you can either skip that month or just ignore the website altogether and you’ll never be charged a dime.

JustFab on the other hand has horrible customer service and sometimes misleading inventory. For example the Paso Doble bag above shows on the website as having “limited quantities” in the red bag when in actuality it has been sold out for the past 2 weeks. Also, it takes several minutes to get a customer service rep on the phone. Shoe Dazzle’s customer service is superb and someone is always available to take your call. But with JustFab if you don’t need their customer service you have a better more enjoyable FASHION experience.

Are you a member of one of these sites? I’d love to know what you think.
